Dolphins

Dolphins have a streamlined fusiform body, adapted for fast swimming. Most dolphins have acute eyesight, both in and out of the water, and they can hear frequencies ten times or more above the upper limit of adult human hearing.
The Black Sea live 3 types of dolphins - ordinary Afalina and porpoises. On our shores they are found most frequently from late March to late November.
20 times decreased dolphins in the Black Sea compared to the period 1960-1965. Disturbed ecological balance and poaching are the main reason for the disappearance of dolphins. Some of thrm entangled in fishing nets.
In Varna we have Dolphinarium where children can watching dolphins.

Bat

Bats are flying mammals in the order Chiroptera (pronounced . The forelimbs of bats are webbed and developed as wings, making them the only mammals naturally capable of true and sustained flight. By contrast, other mammals said to fly, such as flying squirrels, gliding possums and colugos, glide rather than fly, and can only glide for short distances. Bats do not flap their entire forelimbs, as birds do, but instead flap their spread out digits,[2] which are very long and covered with a thin membrane or patagium.
There are about 1,100 bat species worldwide, which represent about twenty percent of all classified mammal species. About seventy percent of bats are insectivores. Most of the rest are frugivores, or fruit eaters. A few species such as the Fish-eating Bat feed from animals other than insects, with the vampire bats being the only mammalian parasite species. Bats are present throughout most of the world and perform vital ecological roles such as pollinating flowers and dispersing fruit seeds. Many tropical plant species depend entirely on bats for the distribution of their seeds.

STORKS

White Stork
The White Stork (Ciconia ciconia) is a large bird in the stork family Ciconiidae. Its plumage is mainly white, with black on its wings. Adults have long red legs and long pointed red beaks, and measure on average 100–115 cm (39–45 in) from beak tip to end of tail, with a 195–215 cm (77–85 in) wingspan. The two subspecies, which differ slightly in size, breed in the warmer parts of Europe (north to Estonia), northwestern Africa, southwestern Asia (east to southern Kazakhstan), and southern Africa. The White Stork is a long-distance migrant, wintering in Africa from tropical Sub-Saharan Africa to as far south as South Africa, or on the Indian subcontinent. When migrating between Europe and Africa, it avoids crossing the Mediterranean Sea and detours via the Levant in the east or the Strait of Gibraltar in the west, because the air thermals on which it depends do not form over water.
The Black Stork Ciconia nigra is a large wading bird in the stork family Ciconiidae. It is a widespread, but rare, species that breeds in the warmer parts of Europe, predominantly in central and eastern regions. This is a shy and wary species, unlike the closely related White Stork. It is seen in pairs or small flocks—in marshy areas, rivers or inland waters—often in association with White Storks. The Black Stork feeds on amphibians and insects.

Rasul

Lynx is considered the largest cat in the wild fauna of Romania, it is known as the Panther Carpathians. It is a powerful animal, it has got 1.5 m long with a tail of 15-25 cm, and ears of 4 - 5 cm just like antennae that helps him to locate the sounds of small animals they hunt. It can live 20 years. The lynx lives especially through inaccessible mountain forests.

Lynx looks like a big cat with long legs, short tail, relatively large head and strong body. The lynx has almost exclusively carnivorous diet, the hearing is more developed than the smell, helps him to find easy victims. Hidden by trees, he is waiting to hunt their prey and attack any creature that comes out in the way: from mice to deer and from the smallest birds to blackcock, they suddenly attack the victim and if they can’t eat the prey they burry it. Romania is the first in Europe with a large number of Lynxes living on its territory. As a wild animal with well-defined role in Romania's fauna, they should have the protection of any nature lover, it is a treasure in danger of extinction.

Dalmatian Pelican

The Dalmatian Pelican (Pelecanus crispus) is a member of the pelican family. It breeds from southeastern Europe to India and China in swamps and shallow lakes. The nest is a crude heap of vegetation.

This is the largest of the pelicans, averaging 170–190 cm (67-75 inches) in length, 11–15 kg (24-33 lbs) in weight and just over 3 m (10 ft) in wingspan. On average, it is the world's heaviest flying species,[citation needed] although large male bustards and swans can exceed the pelican in maximum weight. It differs from the Great White Pelican in that it has curly nape feathers, grey legs and greyish-white (rather than pure white) plumage. It has a red lower mandible in the breeding season. Immatures are grey and lack the pink facial patch of immature White Pelicans. The latter also has darker flight feathers.
As is well known, pelicans catch fish and small birds in their huge bill pouches.
Like the White Pelican, this species has declined greatly through habitat loss and persecution[clarification needed]. As of 1994, there are around 1,000 breeding pairs in Europe, most of them in Ukraine, Russia, Greece, Romania, Bulgaria and Albania (Karavasta Lagoon).
According to the International Bureau for the Study of water game total number of species in the world not more than 1500 couples (and less now). This is the basis of the type to be proposed for inclusion in the World Red Data Book of rare and endangered plants and animals.
In Bulgaria, the Dalmatian pelican is a protected species without exception and is placed in the category "endangered animals"to "Red Book.
